I like the theme pretty much, and I have 2 questions about it:
Is there a way to increase the font size to 14 without loosing the time display?

In order to use album art, how "stable" are the patched firmwares?

Thanks in advance

I think this WPS has a bug.  All of the lines that have scrolling margins applied need to include the %m tag.  The reason I say this is that the WPS display code need not strictly redraw the lines in this order. So e.g. the WPS display code might evaluate the 'Next playing' tag (resetting the scrolling margins) and then the bitrate line (which does NOT reset the scrolling margins) will get redrawn with the wrong margins.

This is what causes the bitrate and song length display details to flicker with incorrect margins when the track is changed!

The fix is easy:  just include the %m|125|320  tag at the start of every line where required:

%s%m|125|320|%ar%?fs<%fsKB|unknown>
%m|125|320|%ar%pc [%pt]
%m|125|320|%ar%?ig<%ig|unknown>
%m|125|320|%ar%?iy<%iy|unknown>
%m|125|320|%ar%fc (%?fb<%fbkbps| >)
%m|125|320|%arB:%bl%% V:%pvdb

%s%m|155|318|%al%?It<%It|>

(Alternatively, the scrolling margins patch could be modified to automatically add these necessary tags - although I suspect it will make that patch quite messy.  I'll take a look)

Cheers I'm pretty sure you can just add an enter space between the tags and the track position in the wps file.

I dunno about you but this is most convenient for my to do it right on the player using the text editor as you can see the results right away without having to connect to comp, disconnect etc.

It's not dumb, I've used the text editor correct minor mistakes, it's good when you don't have access to a PC

I would do it... please don't threaten to throw me off the board again, when i'm only trying to be nice. There's no problem porting this theme, because it's under the cc-by-sa license, right?

EDIT: OK, Thanks for the clarification. i guess i'll fix this one and create a port of my blackglass for gigabeat, so everyone can use his/her own background image in the wps.

It is ALWAYS ok to modify one for your own use.
It is ALWATS ok to discuss what needs changed.  (though what instructions can be said which haven't already been said 100 times in this board are beyond me)

Is it cool to distribute your modifications?
If it is permissively licensed, than it is.
If it isn't, then it isn't.
;)
(If it is ambiguous then it isn't.)
Simple.

Hey senab, great theme man. I've been using it for about a week. I'm not much of a "grass" guy so I wanted to replace the background while keeping the placeholders for the album art and id3 info in the middle. I was wondering if you could upload the psd for the background so we can futz around with it? Thanks in advance.
