Over the last few days I've been creating a new WPS and theme based on the new WMP 11. It uses teh Album Art patch, but I'll be making a non Album Art version soon.

From the picture it looks very nice, about to load on to my pod!!
on my pod now looks very very nice, not to sound super thick but how do you get the album art to work?

Yup just to tell you its working great on mine, but I did have to change the font

Well instead of using the Daily Build on the front page, use the link I've post above. And use it exactly the same, just unzip it onto your ipod.

To get the album art to load, just download the cover for the album (from google images, etc.) resize it to 100x100 and save it as cover.bmp (I use the excellent IrfanView to do this. Put the cover.bmp into the directory of the album on your iPod. It'll then automatically show when you load the album

Nope it'll work fine afaik.

what if all your music is imported from itunes and thus is in all the wrong folders and stuff?

Ah ok, nope it won't work then. The patch looks at the folder the audio file is in, then for cover.bmp and displays it. Therefore you'd need to break the iTunes folder structure.

This theme looks great, thanks for the work on it!  I'll place it on ipod, test it and post feedback later tonight.  While everything about the theme seems to come together very well, looking at the screenshot I'd imagine there would definitely be a font more suited for it...

Just a thought!

I know mate, I said in my first post that the font didn't quite look right. It'd look better with a fixed width font though because of the tags are positioned.

I'll sort the font & icons out in the next update.

Loaded with Sinab's pre-compiled install, works lovely!


Am looking forward to a similiar version without Album Art, however... I love the sleek look on the Black iPod, but not an album-art fan really.

* New Font used - Nimbus 12
* Changed Battery & Disc Spin Icons
* Changed Layout for Tag information
* Top Title/Artist/Album are now scrollable
* Background shadow added (not in screenshot)

A non-Album Art version I'll probably do tomorrow. Once the Album Art is finished, that will be easy to do

The new font looks pretty good, can't wait to use this in non album art form.
