Hello. I have been loving rockbox, and have learned allot in the few months I've been a part of this community. But it seems to me the majority of the people here are already "code savvy." Meaning most of you know how to code, and if you come up with an idea, you can act appon it. I rilly want this skill, and the best time to learn is now.
I know pretty much, nothing, about coding. I know some of the terms, such as "conditionals," "string," "path," etc, but I still don't know even the basics of coding. I have been working with theme-ing allot, and have become quite skilled at it. But I have been told it is not related to CC+, (or whatever code you are using.)
Anyway, to get to the point... Can someone direct me to a good website or some source of information to get me started on learning to code? How did you learn to code, and from where?
Of course I can look it up myself, but I don't know what a reputable source is. You guys/gals are obviously skilled, and I am hoping to learn in the same way you did.
Thanks for any help you can offer me.
PS: I live in a very small town, and the High-School does not currently offer a coding class. And there are no extra curricular coding programs either. So that's why I am looking for an online source, or book.
