Hide empty directories

Is there any way to add the option to hide empty directories?  I listen to a bunch of podcasts and my directory structure is Podcasts/PodcastTitle/Podcast.mp3.   When I finish with the file I delete the directory containing the file.   It would be cool if i could just delete the file but keep the folder on the device but hidden unless there is a file contained within.   Just a suggestion.
