Automatic resume does not appear to work
« on: January 04, 2013, 05:29:39 PM »
Does Automatic resume work? It doesn't appear to have any effect for me.

I wish to use my Clip Zips solely for audio books.

I'd like to get Rockbox to work similarly to the OF, so that playback of any audio book is always resumed from where I left off.

I have set "Automatic resume" to yes.

I have also disabled bookmarks, so that they don't "override" automatic resume.

Yet, when I play an audio book, switch to another, then switch back to the original, it always begins play from the beginning of the audio file.

I'm brand-new to Rockbox.

Am I misunderstanding the purpose of automatic resume?

I understand that the database must be initialized for automatic resume to work, but it appears to be so. The various database "queries" work.

Thanks for feed back.

P.S.

The Clip Zip OF fails to display most of my stored files (whether I search via database or folder browsing).

So, I switched to Rockbox (which does display all of my files, but seems to lack auto-resume).
