pictureflow on fuze+?
« on: January 02, 2013, 03:44:05 AM »
was wondering if pictureflow for fuze+ is going to be implemented? i would assume the hangup is fhe lack of a working menu. since art cannot be resized etc through the menu options it will not work properly.

not a big deall if jt never works at all, just want to make sure i' m not overlooking something.

I'm surprised it doesn't work. Aside from key maps I think nothing is required to use it.

Yeah, I got it to work by deleting my database, resizing album art manually and then rebuilding the database. Wasn't terribly difficult or time-consuming, can't believe I hadn't thought of doing it before. Still, I'm curious about the lack of a menu. Are there just not enough buttons?

For the record, there was no need to resize your album art manually. Rockbox is quite capable of downscaling large images. If the art displays in the while playing screen or base skin, it would've worked fine for pictureflow as well.

However, in saying that, any album art larger than the smallest screen dimension is a complete waste of space. Embedded art even more so, by an order of magnitude equal to the number of files present per album (needless duplication).

Regarding the menu, it is quite likely that the keymap is incomplete. Plugins aren't usually very high on the list of things to get working on a new port.

I am glad you got it working, though.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.
