Where does the startup screen come from?

Where does the screen you get when you start up Rockbox (with the logo and version) come from? Does rbutil install it, or is it based in the code somewhere? Just curious.

Look for show_logo() in apps. The logos themselves are in apps/bitmaps/

Oh, that reminds me, that I wanted to look for the logos for my players too. Photos of them all showing the rockbox logo should look cool, wouldn't it? Logos for some supported devices can be found here.

OK, found the logo. How does the RB compiler determine the git commit, and how can you change this to another message like v3.12?
