'Undefined Instry, Pc: 30800000 sp:3' On Sansa Clip Zip?
(1/1)
DrewFly123:
So, I recently installed Rockbox on the Sansa Clip Zip I got for X-Mas, As I've used it in the past on my iPod Video and liked it a lot. Today, I got home from hanging out with a few of my friends, after using it all day, and it needed charging. So I plugged it into my Computer. After an hour or two I unplugged it too use it, And it read,
'Undefined Instry, Pc: 30800000 sp:3'
I searched it, But found nothing.
Any sort of help would be appreciated.

Don't you mean "Undefined Instruction"? ;)

Not necessarily, no. Many error messages are truncated to fit on small screens, this may be too.

I find this happens to me if the Zip is actually playing music on the WPS when I plug it in to the PC. Then - only occasionally - it'll show a white flashing screen with "Undefined...". To fix it, unplug and hold power for 40 seconds or so, it'll switch off and should reboot normally after that.
FWIW it never seems to show the problem when I pause/stop the track and wait for the little memory-in-use symbol to go away before plugging in. Might just be a placebo effect though.

I have just bought a sansa clip zip and installed rockbox on it, the first time i plugged it into my pc after installing rockbox, the pc couldn't install a driver for the unit and it then gave it this error Undefined Instry, Pc: 30800000 sp:3'
After turning it off and on again, i then tried again and it worked without any problems. But on my pc it gives me a drive letter which i cannot access :(
I can get around this by booting it normally and put data on it, and then boot to rockbox.
