Sansa Clip+ Stuck on Rockbox Logo
blksith0:
Hello. Whenever I have my SD card inside of my Sansa Clip+ then Rockbox will get stuck at the Rockbox logo startup screen. However if I take the SD card out then Rockbox is able to boot up fine. So what's going on?
saratoga:
Check the file system on the sd card for errors. Also, try using it in the sandisk firmware.

Yeah, I've checked it, formatted it, etc.
It works in every other device. It seems like it's just this Sansa Clip+ that's causing problems.
And I posted on the rockbox forums, but it happens with the regular firmware aswell, except with that it just hangs on Updating Database or whatever it is.
It seems similar to this guy's thread and he only fixed it by replacing the Sansa Clip.
I'm going to try replacing the card and seeing how that works out.

That fact that it happens in both firmwares points to a hardware issue, discerning whether it is the DAP or the sdcard is an easy experiment to make though. One slightly cheaper than the other to resolve (depending on the capacity/class of the card, the two get reasonably evenly matched actually...hmmm :) ).

After testing two SD cards, they both behave the same way. With the Clip getting stuck at "Refreshing your media". These same cards work perfectly fine in another Clip.
Maybe I should replace this Clip+.
