Sandisk Fuze V1 USB chargin and usb file copy. V 3.1.2

My V1 has started to exhibit some strange characteristics, I don't know if these are 3.1.2 related.
1. Will not charge over USB when connected to a wall charger, the battery actually discharges. FIX - boot into sandisk firmware (PWR+Left) and it charges fine.
2. File copy to either memory is problematic in rockbox or sandisk. FIX copy to micro sd, then copy to internal if required.
3. microSD above16GB is very flaky.

I use this almost exclusively for audio books and some music. Since most of my music is 70/80 rock it is fairly static. I put the new stuff on the SD, along with the books.

Curious.  What is the extent of your evidence for point #3?

As to point #2, have you checked your player's filesystem for errors?
