Linux & Rockbox on one iPod G5?

hey

i just got ipl (ipod linux) up and running on my G5 (video one) ipod (60GB). i was wondering if i can have rockbox on it aswell now. it would really help me out if someone had a guide or any help to if its even possible.

Our guides are for installing Rockbox and the Rockbox bootloader. To use Rockbox with the iPL bootloader, you *should* just have to extract rockbox.zip into the FAT32 partition of your iPod, but you may need to go to them for further help, as it's really their software (the bootloader) that you're asking for help with here.

havent tried it but apparently its really easy once you have iPL on there. you need the 2.4 loader as this wil allow you to choose which OS to boot into at startup

can you maybe tell me what i need to do after having ipl installed please..? it would really help me out cos i want ipl for some stuff but rockbox rules for playing music!

Well if you have the IPL bootloader, and you installed it like its set out in Silviu's tutorial all you have to do is install the daily build in the root directory of your iPod (G:, E:, F: etc)
and then rockbox will appear as a third option at the boot screen
I tried linux for a while but personally didnt find much use for it so i abandoned it and went exlusively for rockbox

cool thanks guys this is awesome didn't know it was this easy. im gona try it out tomorow after school. i'll post another message here to let you know how it went. it should be easy if i just have to extract that file
