Failed attempt to load RB on new Sansa Clip+

<< < (2/3) > >>

Lee:
Well, after trying to remove the Rockbox bootloader again, just like I did before (by updating with the Sansa Firmware), the player's now displaying the message "File not found", followed by "Plug USB cable".  I've dragged the Firmware file back in to the root directory, but still no luck.

Is that what you mean by the file system being corrupt?

saratoga:
Sandisk firmware updates have to be applied from inside the sandisk firmware.  Copy the file over and boot into it.

If you're not familiar with file system errors, check google.

Could you not explain what you mean in the context of my problem?  I'm running Ubuntu and am pretty new to it, so this is making it more confusing that it may otherwise be.  Your replies are appreciated.

whiskers75:
Check your filesystem for errors. On Ubuntu :) that would be:
--- Code: ---sudo fsck /dev/sd*
--- End code ---
replacing sd* with your disk. Or, just use Disk Utility.

fsck.vfat, but...hey.
