Solved: iRiver H140: zezayer theme broken on Rockbox 3.11.2 and 3.12

I have a modified H140. It is modified for large hdds by using the 7pre4 bootloader. I don't know if that is the cause of my problem, but it might, so I mention it.
 
A forum search did not get me any useful information (maybe I was searching with the wrong set of terms), therefore I'd like to ask this question here.
 
 
I use a modified zezayer theme (basically I only removed some stars and changed the background picture). But the zezayer theme itself has the same problems. Therefore I go with it here.

To clarify: I only have problems with WPS (didn't check rWPS), the "menu screen" is normal.
 
I really like 3.12, so I'd like to upgrade, but my theme/skin doesn't really work with that version. I only learned on that occation of the existence of SBS themes (even though they are around for a long time, even at least in 3.9.1). But if I understand correctly SBS themes only apply to the menus. The breaking of my skin only affects the play screen, therefore it should only be a problem of the .wps file, shouldn't it?

Also, my .wps file contains the %wd element to switch off the .sbs file anyway (http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/Main/RockboxThemes#Skinnable_screens_40remote_skins_always_prepend_the_extension_with_an_39r_39_44_i.e_rsbs_41).
 
 
So, I'm lost. I compared some .wps files of themes that work with 3.12 on my H140, but couldn't really find any difference - only such that define other elements or elements differently.
 
 
What happens with my theme?

One shows how the WPS screen should look like. This is with Rockbox v3.10.
The other 2 show what the WPS screen looks like with Rockbox v3.11.2 and v3.12.
 
The zezayer theme is supposed to be working with v3.12 as is stated here:
