Sansa Fuze V1 + 32GB SD card, skips during play back and volume issues

Looks like i'm not the only one with this issue:

Skipping: When playing albums some tracks skip part the way through a track. When you go back onto the track and try and fast forward through the skipping point the automatically skips to the new track.

Volume: Also had issues with certain albums on my fuze being quieter than others. On my computer they are all the same volume and the files are fine but, on the player they are considerably quieter. I have checked them on both and copied them across.


I found that playing the track straight from in files prevents alot of skipping but, occasionally it still skips tracks part way through. So I'm wondering if the problem could stem from the database?

I'm also just testing it it's just tracks on the SD card and not the ones on the player but, from memory it happens to all tracks no matter where they are stored.

Any suggestions? If not any ideas for a good mp3 player which uses rockbox and has expandable memory?
