flac embedded artwork on ipod photo/color doesn't work, mp3 works. Works on iriver H10. Tried many different themes and image sizes. Is there a tutorial for this?

Saratoga thank you. I've read over that page many times. If you could please help me understand.

FLAC uses the same system as Vorbis comments
Supported metadata tags: Vorbis .ogg, .oga, .spx, .flac
Embedded albumart .bmp, .jpg, .png for Vorbis shows no support

This shows flac can be tagged but doesn't support embedded artwork?

Alright, so if I name an image indicated below and place it in the same folder as the album then the image will display while viewing the WPS? How should I size the image, 300 x 300 x 24?

I'm using ./albumtitle.jpg for my flac album folders and embedded images for my mp3 files. All Working great!

It seems when switching themes a reboot is required for the selected theme to work properly?

While you *can* use "any size you want", album art greater than the lowest value of your screen dimensions is a complete and utter waste of space.

For example, on a 240x320 device, anything greater than 240x240px is a complete waste of space (realistically, embedded art is a waste of space in general unless you don't have full albums in your collection. The album art rarely, if ever, changes per-track).

My device has 220x176, so 176x176px would be ideal?

I do listen to full albums and getting a better understanding of how things work, I'll be removing all embedded artwork and using an image per folder for AA. This will be great since 99% of my music library is flac.

Do you find it necessary to reboot when switching themes that display AA?

This shouldn't be necessary at all. I'm not sure why it would be...

Can you explain please the situation that arises if you fail to do so, or the effects caused by not doing so?

Although I will say that I tried it very shortly after [St.] originally posted, and it worked for me
