My H340 dont see a hard disk :(

Sorry for my bad English.
Three hours ago i has connect charge adapter to the player in Rockbox firmware. After the ending of a charge I have gone in debug menu to see status of the battery, and he has suddenly blinked illumination 2 times, and then a player has hang up. I have pressed reset, and now at loading he writes:
ATA error: -11
Insert USB cable and press a button
What does it mean? I tried to connect USB cable and press on buttons. But nothing happen
Original firmware writes: CHECK HDD CONNECTION, after few second: CHECK HDD and having loaded, contrast of the screen become very weak. As though it have specially made minimal. If change it to 15, then screen is visible normally. But sometimes, after a few minutes, he is restored.
Really it the hard disk has broken?

After several hours the player was started normally. But now if to connect charging adapter during the manipulation to a hard disk - illumination starts to blink, and the disk sounds similar to a start / stop spindle. And in Rockbox, even at the stopped disk, illumination blinks when connection charging adapter. And the operating time was reduced in times! Now in Rockbox my player works on the average 50-70 minutes, and worked till 9-10 o'clock.
Today I have disassembled it, have seen and have understood, that something happened with charging circuit. Probably it is necessary to change motherboard

I have the same problem. This started when I loaded the experimental build from May 7th. I can charge my H340 only when using the AC adapter when it boots into the charge mode. When I try to charge it while accessing the HD, the HD will start to spinup/spindown in a loop and sometimes the LCD will flicker. I have never opened the case and the only thing that's changed since the H340 worked perfectly was when I updated to the May 7th experimental build. Anyone have a diagnosis?

I note the word Experimental in there.

Do you have this problem with an actual _official_ build?

True. I forgot to mention that I have now tried it with the official Rockbox release and the problem still exists.

Which version specifically do you have the problems with?

Also, if you copy the old build (the one that didn't have the problem before) back onto the player, do the problems still happen?

It would seem that I have problems with all builds now, as I have tried loading a bunch of old builds on and nothing has changed. I unfortunately don't have the old version that worked as I just overwrite the rockbox files when I load a new version on. The latest official build I have tried was a bleeding edge build that I downloaded around 10 am today and the latest exp. build I have used is 2.6.2.

If versions older than the one you had don't work, I'd guess your problem is actually a hardware one. The USB connection probably just triggered it by chance.

No, you two are the only people I've ever heard describing a problem like this. Does yours do everything his does, or is it slightly different in any way?

Also, if a problem starts affecting retail, and you haven't reflashed the bootloader right before it happens, then the problem is basically definitely hardware based.

I haven't noticed if the battery performance is reduced, but my LCD will flicker and the spinup/spindown thing happens for sure. I just tried reflashing to the original 1.29K firmware and the problem still exists. This sounds like it must be hardware.

Probably it happened after I have tried to charge the player with a car adapter on 6 Volt. Though I have connected it only on few minutes. But probably it has sufficed

I didn't do any odd charging setups. All I did was upgrade to the newest experimental version of rockbox. After that, the issues started happening. I suppose there could have been a power surge while it was plugged in. In short, I didn't do anything similar.

Not at all. The above problem is hardware related, the OP is able to boot into the iriver fw. You have a much different problem.
