Default Bass on Sansa Fuze V2 (v3.12) is too deep?

(1/2) > >>

RakemYst:
I'm trying to listen to a binaural beat (brain entrainment program) called LifeFlow and for some reason the default bass on rockbox makes the sound of crackling-bass, like WAY too loud/high, so I have to turn the bass down to -10db but it doesn't sound the same as the default firmware, or just playing it from my headphones on my PC. Any setting I need to know about to make it sound right again?

saratoga:
The default settings are a perfectly flat spectrum.

RakemYst:
That may be true, but it *sounds* like there is some sort of filter on that is totally fucking up the sound, and when I turn the bass down, the bass is completely drowned out from it's original sound. I know there's a billion options in RockBox, but is there some sort of filter I need to be turning on or off to make it sound right again?

saratoga:
If you aren't sure what you changed you can reset the settings. Otherwise you don't need to do anything.

RakemYst:
I hate to say this, but what i'm trying to say, is it's happening on default settings. I'm trying to know if I can change one of the many sound options, and why it's happening, to make it sound more clear/normal at default settings, otherwise I have to turn the bass down, which then makes what i'm trying to listen to less clear/abundant (audiophile wise), and this is on a 'brain entrainment' program which needs to be clear as air to work correctly. It sounds much deeper/clearer on default settings on my PC, and standard firmware for my Fuze, even though i upgraded to rockbox so I could listen to FLAC and plus I love your project/opensource/etc. Any ideas?! Props...
