Sansa fuze+ Clock stops
« on: November 15, 2012, 12:57:10 PM »
Hi have been using rockbox for a while now. But now i have a problem with the clock, if i set the clock to something like... 12.30 and shut down and i start it some time later it haven't changed it is still at 12.30 or what the clock was when i shutdown.

Is this a bug in latest build it worked some builds back...
or is this something that i have done with some setting or what is it?

Some people have reported problem with the clock. It wasn't really clear if this was a hardware problem or something related to rockbox. I experienced one time something close to it: booting in OF mode and setting the time there solved the issue for me...

Thx.

That did fix my problem.
You're Lucky ;D
My clock doesn't stop, but it does lose time when powered Off. Loses hours overnight. No Sansa f/w update has fixed it, and no RB f/w has fixed it. So I would assume a problem with the h/w itself, not a f/w issue.
Possibly related to the fact that it loses battery when powered Off! If it has a reasonable charge, I power off, and leave for 2 or 3 days, It is drained. Won't power up even briefly, without recharge.
It has been this way from Day-1, so maybe it is an original bad battery causing both issues?
