"brick" what does that mean?

Is that like putting warm beer in the freezer to chill it and then forget about?  Four hour later it's kickoff time and that beer is a "brick"?

The manual is scary.  Sounds like there could be boobie-trap in the D/A sound processor that could short a disable fuse or something.  That would be sick because the Clip and the mp3 files was purchase from the same place.

just can't seem to press return on the command line.  I just got this thing.
