Sansa Clip+, 8GB, UE Triple.Fi 10 - Stuttering on higher Volumes.
RLXD:
As the threadname states I am experiencing some heavy stutterings on my new Sansa Clip+, 8GB with Rockbox 3.12.
I've yet not experienced any stuttering on the official Firmware, but I will test it out some more later.
Aynone has experienced stuttering with a combination with 32ohm In-Ears or is it just me? Or did I maybe got bad player and should return it?
Hope anyone can help me solving this problem, as I must say that the Clip+ has some veeeeery good sound for this low price.
Edit: It seems only to happen with my UE Triple.Fi 10. Tried some low-cost PC headphones on the same settings and no stuttering appears. I've tested several tracks now, and it happens on some electronic as well as on metal and hardcore tracks. Seems to be to loud for my UEs at some parts, as I can prevent this by lowering the volume by 1 or maybe 2db.
yapper:
It sounds like a 'lack of power' problem. Does the problem occur regardless of the state of the battery charge?
RLXD:
Yes. The battery is fully loaded. I've read on several sites that the Clip+ has no problem with 32ohm In-Ears so i've decided to buy this one.
Is it possible to tweak the power used by Rockbox itself or something like that, so that I the Clip+ can deliver more to the In-Ears, maybe?
But I think this can be really the problem, as I think my low-cost PC headphones only have 16ohm.
saratoga:
Lower impedance headphones actually present a larger load fwiw.
What is the highest volume you can use without skipping?
RLXD:
As far as I have testet it yet it seems to be 3 or 4db.
Is it possible to tweak these to not be chosen on my Clip+?
Would be great as I wanted to us it "blind" in my pockets or while wearing the cables of my UEs under my clothes. As I am pretty tall it's becoming pretty cold on my belly in winter when I want get the clip in a position where I can read the text on the display properly - lol.
