Stop in one track; next start is in a different track! [Sansa Clip+]
« on: October 30, 2012, 06:47:57 PM »
Anyone else notice this weirdness?   I mostly listen to podcasts on my Sansa Clip+.  Very often, I'll pause playback in the middle of one track, and power-off the system.

Next time I start up the player, and select "Resume Playback", I'm part way into a DIFFERENT track.

Using the latest stable? (3.11.2)

The playback position is an index into the list of files in that directory or database query or playlist. If you delete old episodes you've listened to, or add new episodes that alphabetically sort earlier, then resume playback, you'll resume in the wrong file as a result.

Ooooooh....  That WOULD explain it.  I will occasionally do exactly that--add/delete tracks...    Wonder why it works so "fuzzy" like that?

Thanks for the explanation, though!
