Press stop to continue, Disk full
« on: October 29, 2012, 12:17:24 AM »
Hey I got a problem.

When I go to start recording and even before I've started pre recording I'm getting this message despite the iRiver actually being empty. Also when I go to see my plug-ins it just takes me to the Files screen, but I guess that's not relevant on this forum.

Would just going to Format my iRiver via My Computer and then reinstalling the Bootloader + RockBox be a quick fix for all this or just create more problems?

It's a HP120.

Have you checked if your computer has put recycle bin files on the player? Also, have you checked for filesystem errors?

That won't cause problems. Plus, you only need to reinstall Rockbox (the bootloader is stored in flash memory and won't get removed by deleting the disk.) However, make sure to format the disk using FAT32. The Iriver firmware has an option for this.

So, if my Sansa is giving me this message because the internal memory is actually full, how would I record to the micro sd that has lots of space left still? Is there a 'set recording directory at' menu option? Thanks in advance. =)

It's in the context menu.  Highlight the directory you want to record in, open the context menu, select the option that says something like "set recording dir"

Ah, thanks. I thought I had seen it before, but wasn't seeing it in the recording options.
Actually, I'm sorry that I didn't search a bit more than I did as there's a post that already addresses this only two posts below this ._.
( I did search..but nothing was coming up for some reason :\ ) Thanks again though. =)

Sansa Clip+ with 1.02.018 firmware and Rockbox 1.3.1. Going to record mode starts recording and I can't stop it without shutting down the unit by long pressing on/off (top) switch. Normally I would think pressing the center button would start/stop recording and home would exit record mode. But the record function seems to get stuck in record mode and you can't exit out of it. There is no obvious way to set the record directory which seems to be the root directory. I would like to make a recordings folder on the removable memory card and have that as the default directory.

Thats probably the version of the installer you used, not rockbox.

Manual says the power button should exit recording.

I get this error on my Iriver H120. The after 3 mins I get the error. The resulting file is only 5 secs long. I've done formats, error checks, re-installs.
Same result on lastest dev build and 3.13.
I saw a strange syslinux entry in the file browser after my first failed recording attempt.
