Ipod classic 80gb 6th generation rocbox

hi i was woundering the project was still going for the 6th gen ipod classic i would love to have a stable frimware for my ipod i know its probley not in process anymore please help thanks!

Rockbox runs on the ipod classic if thats what you are asking.

that's not my question. i know it runs but i was wondering if the project was still going if there is going to be a (stable) port to the ipod classic anytime soon. thanks

The project is rockbox, and yes we are still going on.

I don't see us making the Classic port stable any time soon though due to the installation needing its own loader, although maybe we'll change our minds about that eventually.

thanks for the info and i would love to see a stable rockbox in the future  on the classic its a great alternative and improve from the the stock apple firmware. i loved rockbox on my old creative back in the day will there be any info more available about updates on this project thank you.
