Rockbox bricked my player- how do I fix this screwup?
« on: October 23, 2012, 04:30:51 PM »
So I installed rockbox on a functional e260 which hadn't had so much as a hint of trouble since day one.

Two days later, it started giving me Data Abort errors whenever I plugged it in to the computer, and randomly on its own.

Now even recovery mode won't make it show up again in my computer- it simply claims it's an 'unknown device' and that it 'has malfunctioned.

I hope this is the correct forum for this, but I don't know where else to put this.

So, now that rockbox has ruined my MP3 player- how do I fix it?

[edit] it decided to start up, finally, on its own. It's still unrecognized by my computer, and when I try there's about a 1 in ten chance it won't lock up, but it's -on- now.
