Conversion to FAT32 problems.
« on: October 21, 2012, 07:58:41 PM »
I'm trying to install ROCKbox on my 4G iPod Nano 1st Gen. I'm currently trying to convert it to FAT32 but I don't have access to a Windows computer, and when I run the "dd if=mbr-nano4gb.bin of=/dev/disk2" command after navigating to the correct directory I get a message saying "dd: /dev/disk2: Permission denied". I unmounted the iPod using disk utility so that isn't the problem. Could someone shed some knowledge on me regarding the situation?

You probably need to run it as root using sudo.
