Sansa Clip Zip stuck on "scanning disk" on RB and "refreshing your media" in OF

(1/1)

AndrewC312:
Hey everyone. Sorry if this has been asked before, but all of the threads I saw about weren't for this specific player or didn't really give an answer that worked.

Anyway, I installed rockbox on my clip zip today and it seemed to work alright, but when I searched through the music on my card it wasn't organized by artist and album, just song, so in a bit of a narrow minded and impatient move (there was probably a way to fix this issue) I decided I would just go back to the original firmware. So I went into the rockbox program and uninstalled it from there. When I turned the player on, it was stuck on the "refreshing your media" from the original firmware. I decided maybe reinstalling rockbox would make it work again at least in that, but it's just stuck on the "scanning disk" screen now. When I boot from the original firmware, it goes back to "refreshing your media."

Should I just reformat it from the computer? Would that make things even worse?

Try This:

Reinstall Rockbox
Open Explorer
Erase Database files from 0 to 8
Unplug
Turn Off
Remove Sd card
Turn On
Wait for database to be created
Turn Off
Put Sd Card.
Turn On
