help with microsd cards and Sansa e260v1.
« on: October 18, 2012, 06:35:45 AM »
So, here's how things went. My sansa clip gave up the ghost, leaving me with a 16gb microsdhc card full of music and nothing to play it on. Thinking I could use rovkbox to make my e260 play nice with microsdhc, as several forum posts state, I decided to try it out.

Except... my player doesn't just not recognize the 16gb sdhc card. It doesn't recognize -any- cards, not even the 2gbmicrosd that I got way back when

To put it briefly; HEEEEEEEEEELP!

Does the 2GB card work in the sandisk firmware?

What happens when you try it in Rockbox?

It just doesn't read. The system just acts as if nothing has happened. I get 'scanning disk' briefly, but no change.

go ahead and hurt me, but I'm not entirely sure what you mean. I'm not the most savvy person here when it comes to these things.

Under files, do you see the microsd card appear when it says scanning disk?
