iPod v5 240gb data abort
« on: October 17, 2012, 09:27:29 PM »
Hello everyone,
I recently got a iPod 5g with 32mb RAM and installed a 240gb hd. Rockbox installed just fine (running v3.12) and plays my lossless (flac, wav, m4a, aiff) files perfectly. However, whenever I attempt to play a mp3 file I receive a data abort at 000795e4 (0). I've tried dozens of mp3 files in different folders. The files play fine on other players just not the ipod. most of my library is lossless formats but it's still disappointing mp3 files wont play. Thanks in advance for any help.

EDIT: just an interesting addition, I converted one of the mp3 albums to FLAC and it plays.. I still can't understand why it wont play mp3 files..

EDIT2: Problem solved, turns out I had a bad install somewhere along the lines. reinstalled software and bootloader and mp3s play fine now.
