Exciter

From being a long time guitar player, I had a chance to use the original BBE Sonic Maximizer and the Aphex Exciter. Both of them sound really good but I prefer the sound of the latter. Is there a chance that one day Rockbox will incorporate the Exciter in it cause from what I understand this circuitry is no longer patent protected so it can be software simulated like the Maximizer in COWON products.

Is there an implementation of the algorithm somewhere?  Without knowing what it does I can't really say if its reasonable to implement or not.

I couldn't find an algorithm but I found the schematics. Will it be helpful?

If they explain how to implement it, then I guess.
