Hi, is it possible to remove audiobooks from default song db somehow? They are located in an Audiobooks folder on external media on my player. Thanks.

I can't seem to get this working. The data is on an external sd card and I have added database.ignore to both this drive and the device drive, but still I get data in the database e.g. when I browse Artists.

I'm using v. 3.11.2. Is this feature only in unstable or are there some other gotchas?

That is indeed one way to do it, but, it is cumbersome.

For that exact reason, there is a handy UI to handle this* for you that can be accessed via Settings - General Settings - Database - Select directories to scan**.

*I was going to point to the manual entry for this feature, but it seems it was never added when this feature was committed and the manual still refers to the older, much less user friendly method.
**Or by bringing up the context menu on the Database main menu entry itself.

Hi, I can't find this in the stable version of Rockbox? 3.11.2. Do I need to run the unstable version? Also, the database.ignore doesn't seem to work on 3.11.2?

Thanks for clarifying and thank you for your help!

gevaerts:
database.ignore definotely works in 3.11.2
