Pictureflow slow cover loading

I have a Sansa Fuze+ with the latest dev build (just updated today). I've noticed a problem with the pictureflowplugin. When holding down the left/right areas of the touchpad to quickly scroll through the covers, the album covers do not load, and instead display the gray square with a question mark. When I stop scrolling, it takes about half a second for the pictures to load.

My question is: Is there any way to make the plugin cache(?) the pictures beforehand, so that I won't have to stop and wait for them to load?

When I used to use a regular Sansa Fuze, I do not remember this problem.
