ipod and digital out

will it ever be possible to get digital out from an ipod classic,
is it something thats being worked on or something that will never be available?

It's something the Ipods don't have the necessary hardware for, and I suspect no Ipod will ever have.

Assuming he means the 6g, it can do USB audio out, but I doubt it will be possible to talk to apple accessories given there encryption. Using it with android accessories might be possible someday.

yeah 6g poss 7g its the video one anyway, would love to get digital from my ipod into my audioalb m-dac but by the sounds of it its not something thats going to happen any time soon

I think its a safe bet that won't happen soon. Get an android phone if you want to use USB audio.
