Installation / Removal > Rockbox Utility

installed rockbox to C:

(1/1)

Ghost of Tom Jones:
I made a mistake and didn't make sure that the rockbox utility pointed to the sansa clip+ when trying to install rockbox to my sansa clip+

It went to my C: drive. If i uninstall with the rockbox utility, it says that the bootloader can't be uninstalled. How do i go about uninstalling from my computer?

Apologies for teh stupid question.

saratoga:
Deleted the Rockbox folder.

Ghost of Tom Jones:

On the Clip+ (and a lot of other player) installing the bootloader requires copying a file to the player and then letting it do a firmware update. Since the PC is not the player it obviously won't do the firmware update. Since usually the firmware update removes the firmware file placed on the player we cannot remove it using Rockbox Utility. Besides the .rockbox folder as mentioned by saratoga you got a file "clppa.bin" in C:. Just delete it.
