Sansa Clip+ Classic theme unicode?
(1/1)
Zhnigo:
How do I make the Classic theme for Clip+ use a unicode font, preferrably the same one as in the default firmware? I've got several cyrillic tracks and quite a lot of japanese ones. Thanks in advance.
saratoga:
Under settings, switch to a Unicode font such as Unifont. You may want to install the font pack if you have not.
Zhnigo:
I've tried that and it only seems to change the menu font, the actual playback screen font stays the same.
amayer:
It probably depends on the theme you have loaded.
If you are looking to change the font with the same sized font you can edit the theme code(found in wps folder). just look for
--- Code: ---%Fl(#,Font_Name)
--- End code ---
and replace the old font with your new font. just make sure your new font is in /.rockbox/fonts/
NaFIann:
I just installed Rockbox on my clip+ and immediately ran into the same problem.
I didn't like the way Unifont looks, so I used a Nimbus font with added chinese, cyrillic etc. glyphs,
that seem to be taken from different fonts. This font looks squished together when using chinese scripts,
so I changed the WPS a bit to deal with that, although I don't know how it looks with chinese characters in
the title as well.
I also fixed the flickering when changing between pause and play.. If you're interested, pick it up here:
