Sansa Fuze V1 (3.11.2): shuts off when on USB

(1/2) > >>

XFer:
Hello everyone, first post.

First of all, many many thanks for your impressive work!

I installed 3.11.2 on my Sansa Fuze V1 and everything is smooth and enjoyable, except for a weird behavior: when I connect it to my PC via USB (to add files etc.), everything works for a few minutes only: after say 2-3 minutes, the Sansa shuts down.
Needless to say, it makes adding anything larger than a few megabytes impossible.

I've tried disabling any power-saving feature, I also tried enabling USB HID mode, but nothing worked.
With the original firmware, it does not have this problem.

By the way: is it normal that the "Battery" entry is missing from "General Settings"->"System" on my device?

Thanks,

Fer

Hello,

bug was not fixed with 3.13.

More details:

After some tens of MB of transfer (to Fuze's internal memory), the device disconnects from the PC.
The screen of the Fuze reports:

"undefined instruction at 4000001c
pc:4000001c sp:300cea20
bt end"

Sounds like this bug:  http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/12184

XFer:
Maybe it's the same, I don't have enough knowledge to follow that discussion.

Please, could you add my report there? I don't know how to contribute myself.  :-\

Thanks,

Fernando

You don't need to add any report.
