iRiver H300 - distorted screen, no use possible!

(1/1)

Hello,

as I read in an old post about the problem with distorted screen display there is already no solution, isn't it?

I would like to use rockbox on my second H340, but the screen display is as much distorted, that no use is possible. On my other H340 there is no problem. Can't understand that, but maybe two different screen types that iRiver used.

I'm not able to generate the hex-Firmware-File on my own and hope someone can help me to avoid the display problems. There is no motivation to use the original software on my second player ...

Regards, Uli

Nobody an idea what I can do?
I'm sure there are a lot of players in use they have the same problem and can't use the ingenious rockbox software.

Maybe one solution could be a selection of the LCD driver in General Settings - Display. Because for normal music use the display don't need much performance. And I guess most people use the device like me as a music player.

I had a similar problem once with one of my H340s.  It finally went away after I took the device all apart.  I found that I could induce distorted images by pushing the ribbon cable to the display this way and that.  I feared that maybe there was a bad connection with the ribbon cable, one which I was not equipped to fix.  Fortunately, after I put it all back together again, the problem never returned.

May you too be so fortunate.
