Sansa Fuze Maximum supported MicroSD/Formatting
(1/1)

Hi:
My friend and I both have Sansa Fuze players with Rockbox. Currently he has a 32gb MicroSD formatted with Fat32 that is working flawlessly. He would like to use a 64gb MicroSD. I tried putting in an NTSF formatted 64gb MicroSD but the Sansa Fuze didn't see it.
Does anyone know if a Fat32 formatted 64gb MicroSD would work? Is there a Rockbox limit or does it have to do with Sansa hardware?
I tried searching for MicroSD but didn't come up with any information.
Thanks,
Tom

There are no hardware limitations on size, but only FAT32 will work.
BTW, since NTFS is the Windows file system, its a good bet that it will not work on devices that aren't Windows PCs.

Hi:
Thanks for your reply. This will be good news for my friend.
FYI: 64gb NTSF MicroSD works on my Android Tablets, Transformer 101 and Nexus 7 via Nexus Media Importer.
Thanks,
Tom

I believe Nexus Media Importer includes a (read only) NTFS driver reverse engineered from the Windows one.
