Crickey!
« on: September 17, 2012, 04:30:04 PM »
Not sure if this is the right forum...

Cracked open my new SanDisk Clip Zip, and with great excitement popped in my Klipsch headphones and... oh dear! I'll refrain from posting what went through my head suffice it to say that it was bad enough that I'd probably not use it whilst standing next to a jet engine at full thrust (which in fairness I'd not do anyway - but you get the point).

Anyway, only 30 minutes old, I went for a Rockbox install on the grounds that if it send my Zip to the great MP3 player in the sky, I'd be no worse off. Popped the Klipschs back in and... HOLY PANTS! How do you guys do it? It's a different beast - the complex Neal Morse passages suddenly don't blend into a sonic mush but sound distinctly proggy (which is a good thing BTW). :)

All I can say is: thank you all very much indeed. I'm both grateful, impressed and amazed at how a firmware can make such a huge difference. Cheers!
