data abort 00795e4
(1/1)
markeh:
Just added a bunch of files for the first time.
= -Initialize database.
= Try to use the db, and get message "reboot"
= I reboot, get message "data abort 000795e4"
If I reboot again, get the Rockbox initial screen, message about committing database 1/9, and then the abort message.
So.. how do I get out of this loop??

Force reboot to the original firmware and delete all the .tcd files.
Now you can reboot back to Rockbox, and check where the initialization is failing by enabling metadata logging:
Settings - System - Debug - Metadata Log
Now attempt to init the Database again, and reboot, reboot to the original firmware again to establish a USB connection and check the root of the device for the (hopefully) newly created metadata log file, you should be able to see where it is failing by checking the last entry in this log file. The next file in line (alphabetically sorted) should be the offending file, try removing it.
