It seems to me though that it might be better to seek the help needed to actually *install* ipodloader to at the iPod Linux forums where more knowledgeable people might be. A larger percentage of the people here probably use our bootloader, so you're less likely to find the people who've done it already.

i've done it before.. loader2.2.. but its kinda gayish... because for some reason apple firmware is always da first thing on the list, and makes me scroll to go to rockbox... i guess i havent dug deep enough to set some arguments or something... but i didnt like it so i went back to the rockbox loader...

yes i agree, i'm thinking if it wouldn't be enough to have both rockbox and ipodlinux only installed

well i agree with you guys i just liked the interface of loader 2.2 thats all ,although i would always use to auto boot into rock box ,demanding part of it is when we need to go to apple f/w it will be alot easier ,but i heard in forums that it also makes 10 second reboots and that it is not flawless ,i am just asking this to the guys who are using it not to the guys who dont want it ,sorry there

we can change the code to boot rockbox 1st ,these are open source

Ive recently had luck with Loader2 and Rockbox on my 30GB Video. There's 2 ways to do it really. You can use the wonderful iPL installer (which is development so don't shout at me if it breaks stuff). Or you can just write loader2 onto your firmware partition, just download a daily build and use the utils that you used for rockbox to put a bootloader on. It automatically recognises the rockbox files, and you can set it default by following instructions on the wiki.
