Latte iVu with ROCK2708 chip ID compatibility?
« on: September 03, 2012, 04:53:36 AM »
I've tried to find more information on the chip but all I know is that it reads as "ROCK2708" under system information on the actual player. Is that the same thing as RK2708 and would that fall under the RK27xx description on this website? The main reason I want to install Rockbox is to be able to have log files to scrobble tracks. I am sorry that I am so ignorant on this subject but I really wanted a second opinion on whether or not I was interpreting this information correctly and if I should pursue this any further or if it was futile and I won't be able to scrobble from this player. Thank you.

Generally, Rockbox cannot run on a specific player until we have specifically added support for that particular player.
Perhaps you can join the Rockbox IRC channel tonight and we might be able to find out what is required exactly to make it work for your player.
