Incorrectly pitched recording?
« on: September 02, 2012, 02:53:24 PM »
Hi, I've found a possible bug (or feature?) that I would like some input on.

I have a Clip Zip, and when using both the FM record and mic record functions, the playback pitch is off by about a semitone. I verified this by using the pitch change option in the playback menu on a concert A (440 Hz), and playback of the file on two computers AND the device is as if the tone is an A flat.

I read in a similar post that this was due to a bug in the WAV bitrate/header encoding and would be difficult to repair. Is this still true, or was that fixed in an earlier build?

Thanks,
D.J.
