malloc error when attempting bootloader install

(1/1)

mrkusrk:
Whenever I attempt to install the bootloader on my new Sansa Fuze+ using the rockbox utility, the program crashes, with the following log written to the terminal:

The error also occurs when I run the utility as root. How can I work around this to install the bootloader?

bluebrother:
Use a development version or the previous release. This is a known issue and already fixed. Or wait for the next release of Rockbox Utility, which should be finished after this weekend.

For the Fuze+ you don't need to run Rockbox Utility as root

mrkusrk:
Actually, I am running the development version, since there is apparently no stable release for the Fuze+ yet.

No, you are not. I'm talking about a development version of Rockbox Utility (after all, that's what is crashing, isn't it?), not Rockbox.

Alternatively get Rockbox Utility 1.3.0 which has just been released. Unfortunately it hasn't arrived at the download server yet ...
