Rockbox taking long time at startup and some songs hanging

I had problems with Rockbox and uninstalled and reinstalled on my Sansa Clip+. When I did that I added voice capability for file names etc. I don't know if there was a connection between adding the voice or not but now it sometimes takes a much longer time to start playing than it used to to (after powering on). I ended up not using that voice thing much so I don't mind taking it off. Could that be whats slowing it down? Also after I've been playing songs for a while it will reach some song and just stop. Either I then can't change off that song or occasionally it will allw changing but the song selected won't play. Any tips on fixing this are appreciated.
Post Merge: August 30, 2012, 10:12:09 AMI have a 16gb sd card in it. The last time I had problems and reinstalled I took the sd card out first. Could the problem be on the sd card? Should I leave it in when I reinstall?
