Sansa E260 V1: Won't turn on sporadically

Hi all,

I've been having issues my my sansa for a while and finally decided to post something after looking around unsuccessfully in the forums. I'm not sure if this is the correct spot for the post or not...

The issue is, as the title indicates, that my player sometimes does not turn on with a simple press of the power button. If it does not turn on with a single press I've been able to get it to work by holding down the power button for 15-30 seconds and then pressing the power button once. The actual amount of time needed to hold the button down seems to vary. It seems as if when I turn the player off it is going into some sort of "almost-off" state where a hard reset is required to turn it off completely.

I have not had any luck troubleshooting so far, the problem is not consistently present which makes it difficult. I have had the problem arise from turning off three different ways (hold down power for 3 seconds, sleep timer, power-off from idle).

I've updated recently and am running 3.11.2

Any insight as to what might be causing this issue would be greatly appreciated!
