Can I shut down with the player plugged into the power adapter?
« on: August 21, 2012, 01:56:12 PM »
I have a SanDisk Clip+

I have always left it plugged into the charger (never use the battery since it's in my shop connected to an amplifier/speakers).

Can I turn this off while plugged into the charger? It seems like it won't turn off until I unplug the mini USB.

Is this something they did on purpose? I know with the Sansa software it will turn off plugged in.

Sounds like the options are:
1. Leave it on Always
2. Unplug and turn it off and remember to plug it in the next day.

I think it'll turn the screen off.  You can do that in rockbox if you want.

Definitely not a gripe at all... can't complain with such a great free software! Definitely no complaints. Love it!

But with the Sansa software was possible to shut down plugged in to the charger. It'd say "shutting down" if the power button was held for 3 seconds or so. This thing won't shut down unless I unplug from the charger. I like to permanently leave it connected since I don't use the device anywhere but in the shop.

But either way... no way in the world I'd switch back to Sansa software.

I'm loving the Rockbox software so far. I especially love the ReplayGain feature keeping the levels equal across tracks. It'd be hard to live without that now. Thanks!!!
