Unable to uninstall Rockbox from Sansa Fuze V1

(1/1)

marlboro123:
I tried with steps listed below :
1. "uninstall" Rockbox with the RB Utility ( rockbox folder no longer exist, but file fuzea.bin stil sits on root dir )
2. place the stock firmware (fuze01.02.31.bin) on root
3. reboot original firmware by pressing and hold the Left button while turning on the player

Left button while turning on the player = able to boot up the original firmware
Normal turning on the player = Loading firmware, File not found > Plug USB cable

I am still able to start up the original firmware, but I have to press and hold the Left button while turning on the player on every time, is this normal ?

Or am I missing something on uninstall process ?

saratoga:
Just update the sandisk firmware as you normally would and the bootloader will be removed.

re-downloaded stock firmware and re-run the option and finally got RB out of my Fuze   ;)

RB is a fun tool, but kinda complex for simple guy like me
And I definitely do not have the golden-ear to enjoy the better SQ out of RB (as most people claimed)

saratoga have been very helpful
a million thanks to saratoga

FWIW, the sound quality wont' be better, although things like EQ are much more powerful and probably do sound better if you use them.
