My sansa clip v2 won't read songs /build database anymore [resolved]
(1/1)
Coin-coin le Canapin:
Greetings.
I've been using a stable version of rockbox on my sansa clip for many years.
After manipulating it (copying new song, this kind of stuff), I noticed that it didn't find any of the songs on my sansa clip.
I tried to resume the track that was currently playing on my previous start, and it didn't work, closing the song before starting to read it.
Obviously, it was unable to read it.
I came back on my computer, installed a fresh and new rockbox version. It was unable to create the database (stuck on the creation) There was only 300 free MB on my sansa clip, but I didn't find any mp3. They seemed to be hidden or something.
I fully formatted my sansa clip, and begun with a new installation (I'm using m30pa.bin). The problem is still here :
I'm stuck on this screen :
(don't pay attention to the 1 pixel wide column of dead pixels, it's a hardware failure that came many years ago)
Plus, do you know where I should upload my mp3 ? Should I just create a new sub-directory here?
I hope you can help me.
Regards,

I think the database will fail to build if there are no music files on the player. Do you have at least 1 music file?
Coin-coin le Canapin:
Yes. I tried to move the directory from /.rockbox to the root and now it works. You know this feeling when you're stuck on an issue for two hours, you post on a forum and you found the solution one minute after... :p
