Ondio FM Error "Save Failed No Partition?"

<< < (4/4)

maschubo:
Hey!

I hope anybody reads this... i got serious problems with my ondio 128SP and i think you can help me.

I use the internal storage and have a 256mb MMC card. Now my player made problems, so i decided to run the new version of rockbox on it (i still had 2.4).  With all my tries i must have destroyed something, it seems, now the player just says "flash error found please restart". Only when connected to the PC, the system (the original ondio OS, it seems) works...

I thought, it might be this superfloppy mode, i tried deleting the partition with swissknife unsuccessfully, also with the windows programm i could not delete the partition. It can't be the file system, i formatted the disc on FAT32...

For any help i would be so thanksful! I just don't want to devide me from my ondio, it was so great with the rockbox... Help me!  :-[

It seems you accidentally formatted the internal flash with the wrong file system (FAT32 or even NTFS). It must be FAT16 formatted. See the archos Ondio FAQ:

http://www.archos.com/support/customer_support/faq/de/faq_ondio_128.html
Topic: "What file system does the Ondio require if formatting the drive?"

With rockbox it doesn't matter if it's FAT32, but I wouldn't use FAT32 for the internal flash anyway.

But i formated it in FAt32! That's, what is bothering me...

Genre9mp3:
Well, if you re-read the previous post carefully, you'll find out that you should actually format it in FAT16!

maschubo:
But i thought, rockbox can handle FAT32 as well...? *trying*

EDIT:
Great, i finally works again :) i formated it as FAT now... the rockbox doesn't work at the moment, but i think, i can handle that ^^ Thanks for your pacience with me :D
