Need help with the maximum volume question

I have bought SanDisk Sansa Clip ZIP very recently. The player seems good, but I`m not satisfied with the default max volume (80dB mentioned in manual) for it is very quiet for me.
Followed by numerous comments on the vendor page I have started to think about Rockboxing the device as possible solution. The question is:
Will Rockbox solve this problem by providing extra maximum volume?
-or-
Should I return the device to vendor and take my money back while I still can do it?
p.s. Sorry for my English.

If the volume is low, you're probably European, and have the EU volume cap in place.  You can remove this in the stock firmware, and it is never present in rockbox.  Google search.

saratoga, thank you!! I didn`t have a clue about the EU volume restrictions. The *reset to factory defaults* option and choosing the North America region did the job perfectly. So thank you again. See you with Rockbox in my Sansa device within nearest future.
I just hope it will not make me the same problem with max volume :)
